After many years of working in corporate Marketing and Advertising positions, I joined The Ward Group in 1998. Over the years, I have enjoyed working with both clients and senior-level candidates. I have partnered with clients across a range of categories at The Ward Group including healthcare, media companies, financial services, and in higher education, as well as other non-profits on a variety of engagements.
I love the variety of clients that we work with. With our focus on marketing and communication roles, we are functional experts, but every assignment is unique. Clients generally retain us for critical, strategic, and operational roles that are central to the future of their business. I have been particularly effective in recruiting high impact, change-agents for clients who are looking for new leadership. It's especially gratifying when we have recruited a successful candidate who is able to take a role or an initiative beyond what the original opportunity was thought to be.
We have a very good reputation in the market and I know that all of us at The Ward Group value the relationships that we make with people every day. I certainly received a lot of calls from recruiters back when I was in corporate marketing roles. Most of the conversations felt very transactional. Our approach is different and I really enjoy getting to know people and building a relationship with them around their career goals and aspirations. Executive search is a challenging profession but, because of how we do it, it's also very rewarding.
My inspiration is my wife, Katie, and our three daughters. They're pretty inspiring, too!
